Now that Obama has named Joe Biden as his Vice-Presidential candidate, there are two questions on everyone's minds: What does Ellis have to say about the nomination AND who will McCain pick. The JoBama combination is a substantial enough topic for its own post and will be addressed separately there. This is the spot where I will name the PERFECT running mate for John McCain. Not only will the naming of this candidate guarantee him the election, it will emasculate a worthy political foe, AND throw the Democrats into absolute turmoil. Who is this magical Vice-President? None other than Hillary herself.
Just think about it..... McCain reaches across party and gender lines living up to his maverick status and takes away one of the Democrats most effective fundraisers and politicians. In addition, as Vice-President she would be in charge of the Senate (a role that she could fill very comfortably), and if McCain died we wouldn't be any worse off than if she had been elected outright.
Imagine further if he made his announcement during the Democratic Convention.... All heads would be turned his way and NO ONE would give a rat's ass about what's going on in Denver. It would be one of the biggest coups ever in American politics and would engage the nation in the process as never before.
The angst of the liberals would be palpable, do the assuage their white guilt and vote for JoBama or do they vote for the girl? And what about the African-American lesbians? They're in an even bigger quandary, aren't they?
